Having the right people in your circle is incredibly important for maintaining good mental health. The relationships we cultivate can significantly affect our emotional well-being and overall happiness. It's essential to practice discernment when it comes to the people we allow into our lives, whether it's friends, family, or even acquaintances. Surrounding ourselves with positive, uplifting individuals can create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and resilience. On the other hand, toxic relationships can drain our energy and negatively impact our mental state, making it vital to evaluate who we keep close.
As a mother, I’ve realized how crucial it is to model healthy relationships for my children. They learn from our interactions and the people we choose to surround ourselves with. By prioritizing relationships that encourage love, support, and understanding, I’m not only nurturing my own mental health but also teaching my children the value of choosing their circle wisely. It’s about creating a safe space where they can thrive emotionally and socially.
Therapy has played a pivotal role in my journey toward mental wellness. Engaging in therapy has provided me with tools to navigate my thoughts and emotions more effectively. It’s a space where I can express myself freely and work through challenges with the guidance of a professional. I believe normalizing therapy is essential; it should be seen as a strength rather than a weakness. Seeking help is a brave step, and it’s important to understand that it’s okay to ask for support. I’m excited to share more about my therapeutic experiences in future posts, as I think it can inspire others to consider this path for themselves.
One of the most significant lessons I’ve learned is that it’s perfectly okay to start over. Embracing change and letting go of what no longer serves us can lead to incredible personal growth. Starting over was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. It allowed me to reassess my priorities, focus on my mental health, and ultimately find happiness. Today, I feel healthy, thriving, and in love, all while striving to be the best mother I can be.
To all my friends and family members who have been there for me in the past three years, who have stuck by me, who have helped me, who prayed for me, who have been there for me, I appreciate you more than you know. I thank you more than you know. You don't know how many times that on my worst days you guys made me feel so much better. I don't need to list you because you guys know who you are. I love you, and I thank you so much. Thank you KKW for pushing me to explore my creative talents and getting back to what I love!
This journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. I encourage anyone reading this to reflect on their own circles and consider whether they are surrounded by individuals who uplift and support them. Remember, it’s never too late to make changes in your life. Your mental health matters, and you deserve to surround yourself with people who contribute positively to your journey.
